Day 0--here we go!!

So excited! I am remarkably calm for what is still to come (or at least, considering how long I'll be wearing these clothes).

There is a definite excitement in the air as students come in and out of the choir room. It seems like yesterday when the choir room countdown was over 200 days and now we are counting minutes! Can't wait!

Look for our updates as we travel. Please, share the blog updates with friends on FB and Twitter as you get them. It would be awesome for the blog to get thousands of views!!!

Just a few more hours!

All that's left to do is get through this school day and we will be off to Italy!!! Words can't even describe how excited I am!

Take Care of Yourself!!

Watch the LZHS Concert Choir on the CBS Chicago morning news on Thursday from 5-7:00am. They will be broadcasting live from the PAC as we sing music from our upcoming concert and tour to Italy. We should be on every half our on the quarter.

So, for many of us Thursday is a very early morning (though 5:00am in LZ is noon in Rome)!! That being said, now is the time to start taking good care of yourself. Get plenty of sleep, eat well and try not to change any of your normal routines for "extremes."

There are lots of stresses in our lives right now--concert, musical, packing, homework, end of quarter projects, auditions, so on!! Try and keep a steady and even pace for the next two weeks. Otherwise you'll end up landing in Rome and getting sick right away.

Vitamins, plenty of water, Emergen-C, Airborne, so on--all good ideas! Start your make up work now so you don't get buried in a pile of homework. All teachers know you will be gone and are expecting that this work will be completed before you leave.

Stay healthy. Stay warm. Stay hydrated. Keep well rested!!
